In the novel, Crow Lake, written by Mary Lawson, Kate comes across a conflict with Daniel as he questions their relationship with each other. Kate and Daniel both love each other very much, the problem is that Kate has a tough time present that she cares. Kate and Daniel both value their relationship, solely Daniel feels like hes the only one showing it. Daniel endlessly wanted to happen time with Kate but Kate just shows up and doesnt truly take initiative, herself. Daniel shows that he prioritizes their relationship first, but Kate is prioritizing her career. All Kate seems to shed about with Daniel, is her job and nothing else. Daniel is free to open up to Kate, whereas Kate just keeps everything to herself. Daniel was able to tell Kate how he felt but if Kate felt the same way, she would just keep it to herself. Daniel wants to get to drive in Kate whereas Kate feels like she knows enough about Daniel.
Kate knows Daniels whole family scene but Daniel always needs to question Kate about her family. Daniel always thought about their future together, whereas Kate just hoped for the best. Both Kate and Daniel were willing to try hard in their relationship to make it hold long, and have it to be the best for the both of them.
Daniels personality is very different from Kates.
