Our team consisted of two seniors and two juniors that werent scantily teammates but longtime friends. We knew we had to be great, but not only great we had to make a statement. The gun sounds and the race begins the first and second handoffs were flawless; it was all up to me I was the terminal runner the race depended on me to finish.
I get the handoff and take off running with a purpose not thinking about anything but finishing. I cross the finish line anxious to find out our time I run to the board and see xl two point six seconds. Knowing that was a heck of a time Im ecstatic but that was just an un ordained time. That ended the first day of my last state track experience and helped build self-assertion that I was going to reach my goal coming into the final day of running.
