Tomorrow Id be giving my I have a dream speech in appear of thousands of people at the Lincoln Memorial. I wasnt accredited how I was going to get the courage to do it, nevertheless it was something that needed to be done. I had already gotten thousands of people reenforcement the civil rights, and with this speech Id have even off much. I wasnt doing this for myself; I was doing it for the people in the south, America, & the symmetricalness of the world. To me it was very important that everyone was treated fair, no matter what strain their skin was. I wanted to make the world a better place for everyone. And I was determined to do it. before my I have a dream speech, Ive conduct and done many other events which has direct up to now.
On December 1, 1955, a lady named Rosa Parks was arrested because she refused to retrovert her seat up for a white man. This was when it was first brought to my intentions to do something about segregation. So on December 5, I led the Montgomery bus boycott, along with the women who had started it. At first non a lot of people were interested but I insisted they try.
From now until we were given our rights to sit where ever we wanted on the bus, we would walk by foot to our destinations. I told them.
It took 381 days until we were granted our rights on the bus.



It may have been a tedious transit but it was worth it.
On May 17, 1957, I gave my bowl over Us the Ballot speech in Washington, D.C. to 15,000 people. This was to promote blacks vote rights.
In 1959 I visited India to study Mohandas Gandhis philosophy of non-violence. also in that year I resigned from being pastor at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church to focus more on the civil rights movement.
On October 19, 1960, I was in Birmingham, AL and was arrested. magic spell in jail I wrote Letter from Birmingham Jail. When this got out, more people started to support the civil rights movement.
