Introduction Before 1917 Russia was ruled by a monarchy called the Romanov Tsars. In this meter there was an enormous divide between the very pie-eyed and the very poor. The revolution, led by Vladimir Lenin, was a success and the Communists came to power. During the early months of the recent communist reign, peasants were allowed to seize and keep their landlords lands. Their new policy of struggle Communism led to the communist government sending soldiers to command food from the peasants over gun point and take mainstay the land they had previously been allowed to seize.
