The vast majority (86%) of immigrants in the family group, and two thirds of those in the humanitarian group, shared with relatives while over half of those in the independent group stayed with friends. Immigrants in the business and employer nominated categories were overmuch less likely to share accommodation, possibly because they were more able to afford accommodation of their own.
